- This oil painting on box canvas depicts detail observed on the side of a Venetian church. Obviously once a feature (perhaps a tabernacle) this little niche had a some point been plastered over to leave a simple rectangle with a rather ornate top and bottom.
Painted using ochre's and venetian red tones my intention was to depict the textured surfaces using mostly washes of colour.
