- This painting was inspired by a photograph taken in Dorset (Kimmeridge Bay). While the rest of the family were fossil hunting, I was away taking photographs of rusty metal! This sheet of strips of metal show how natural elements can shape the man made world we live in- rust penetrates the toughest surfaces, eating it away. The weathered surfaces show intricate patterns and subtleties of colour variations like an abstract work of art.
