February in Venice

- his painting takes me back to an extremely cold February morning, when Saint Marks Square was almost deserted, apart from one or two groups gathering (and a few pigeons!). It didn't take long for the square to fill up, but while it lasted it was lovely to admire the perfect view across the Lagoon.
