- Painted on a highly textured surface, this contemporary oil on box canvas is painted solely using Yellow Ochre Deep, Titanium White and Payne's Grey. It is based on a digital image taken whilst 'doing' the Venice Biennale. It was a beautiful autumn morning, with a fairly low sun casting long shadows. The wall shone through the crisp and hazy shadows, and I simply had to recreate the scene.
