- 'Window' is a contemporary oil painting inspired by a visit to Venice. The building that sparked off this painting was in a terrible state of disrepair and was of course, a delight at the same time. Once obviously a grand building, these ornate windows had been bricked up some time ago. I loved the colours, and simply had to try to paint it. Painted using mostly washes, the stonework and red plasterwork is slightly impasto.
